In February 2020, right before the pandemic, Tim and Kristen met in a bustling bar in Charleston one Saturday night. It was a chance encounter – Kristen was there for a girls night, while Tim was there having a few drinks with a close friend. Tim walked outside where Kristen noticed his Barstool Sports sweatshirt, complimented him on it and sparks flew. From that night on, they spent every free moment they had together going out on dates and getting to know each other, that is until fate stepped in again and changed the course of their lives. The world went into lockdown, and they found themselves in quarantine together. This was their first major test as a new couple. They quickly found out not only were they crazy about each other but also very compatible.

Fast forward to September 2020, when Tim decided to separate from the Airforce, which is what brought Tim to Charleston where Kristen was living full time. He missed his family and friends back home and knew it was time to move back to the Boston area. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the right time for Kristen to relocate. Their relationship was still in the early stages and she had a full time job and family in Charleston. They ultimately made the very difficult decision to part ways but still remain in contact as friends. Both of them were devastated, but they knew it was for the best. For the next several months, despite the physical distance between them, they stayed in touch through texts, calls, and FaceTimes sharing snippets of their daily lives. They made plans to spend that Christmas together in Boston and it was then they both realized they could no longer be apart from each other. They decided to have a short term, long distance relationship and made plans for Kristen to relocate to Boston, where they lived together for 6 months before coming to terms that they both longed to be back in Charleston.

In December 2021, they moved permanently back down south where Tim went on to graduate from the Firefighters Academy and became a Firefighter for The North Charleston Fire Dept. On November 6th, 2023, Tim proposed to Kristen on Folly Beach and of course she said yes! They went on to purchase their first home in January of this year and are now happily living with their fur babies.
